Goals:

Providing an appropriate framework for coordinating efforts of specialists in linguistic and literary studies at Arab universities, enhancing and creating cooperation amongst them and with specialists in other fields, especially the humanitarian fields, providing them with an opportunity to benefit from each other’s expertise and interact, encouraging specialised scientific production and publishing it, encouraging translation of all types from Arabic into English and vice versa, coordinating with Arab institutions and commission concerned with translation, and activating the role of English, linguistics and translation sections in Arab universities and all institutes, centres and community colleges concerned with teaching English, linguistics and translation in the Arab world in the educational, social and cultural fields to serve the interest of nations and countries.
