Jordanian Writers and Literatures Union

Goals:

Activating the cultural movement and supporting it in the Kingdom out of feeling of pride in the Arab and Islamic thought and principles on which modern Jordan was created unifying the efforts of members and coordinating amongst them to create the appropriate atmosphere to highlight the capabilities of creative individuals and develop them, taking care of promising young writers and supporting them, at the same holding seminars, conferences and training courses, exhibitions and cultural meetings, running cultural and literary projects and supporting them, holding cultural studies and research to serve the Jordanian cultural movement, enhancing openness to Arab and foreign cultures and taking part in cultural and intellectual activities held by similar entities inside Jordan and abroad, with issuing publications that serve the objectives of the union, and fostering cultural cooperation with writers in the Palestinian territories
